Getting started
What does EasyColor do?+
EasyColor automatically colors the tracks in your Logic Pro project. It can color by your folder structure or by matching track names to instrument categories - for the whole project in one pass (Colorize), or live as you create and rename tracks.
Why does it need Accessibility permission?+
EasyColor uses the macOS Accessibility API to read your track names and open Logic's color picker. macOS asks you to grant this once on first launch - it's what lets the app drive Logic for you. Nothing leaves your Mac.
Which Logic Pro and macOS versions work?+
EasyColor runs on macOS 13 (Ventura) or later and works with current versions of Logic Pro.
Do I need an internet connection?+
Only to activate your license or start the trial. After that EasyColor works fully offline, with a 14-day grace window before it quietly re-checks. The coloring itself never uses the internet - your project stays on your Mac.
Do I need to set anything up in Logic first?+
Just open your project in Logic Pro. If you're coloring by keywords, naming tracks the way you normally do (kick, bass, lead vox…) is all the prep needed - EasyColor reads the names you already use.
Which Macs are supported?+
Both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3 and newer) and Intel Macs, on macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. It's a single universal download that runs natively on either.
Does it work with Logic for iPad or other DAWs?+
No. EasyColor works only with Logic Pro on Mac. It doesn't support Logic for iPad, or any other DAW (Ableton, Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio, etc.).
How it works
What's the difference between coloring by Session and by Keywords?+
Two ways to color. Session colors by your Logic folder stacks - child tracks inherit the parent's color, either the same shade or a step darker/lighter. Keywords matches each track name to one of 12 instrument categories. Pick whichever suits the project.
What's the difference between Colorize and Live?+
Colorize colors everything in your project in one pass. Live mode stays on in the background and colors new or renamed tracks the moment they change, so you never run a second pass.
Does Live mode slow Logic down?+
No. Live only colors while Logic is the front-most app, and it waits for a track name to settle before painting, so it stays light. Pause or switch it off anytime with a hotkey.
Two keywords match one track - which wins?+
“First word wins”: the category whose keyword appears earliest in the track name. So “Kick Bass” becomes Drums, because “kick” comes first. Predictable every time.
What if a track doesn't match anything?+
It's left untouched. EasyColor only recolors tracks it can confidently match, so anything you've already colored by hand stays as-is.
Does it color regions too, or just track headers?+
Both. Track headers and their regions get the color - including summing stacks and all of their child tracks.
Can I change the keywords and colors?+
Yes. Every category's keywords are editable; choose Custom, Built-in or a Mix; start from a genre preset (Hip-Hop, Rock, Orchestral, EDM, Pop); and pick a brightness palette (Bright, Medium, Muted, Dark).
Does it change my audio or arrangement?+
No. EasyColor only changes track and region colors. It never moves, edits or touches your audio, MIDI or plug-ins.
Can I undo a coloring pass?+
Yes. A single hotkey undoes the whole batch in Logic, and another redoes it. You can also just re-run with different keywords or colors.
How much time does EasyColor save?+
EasyColor keeps count for you - it tracks every track it colors and shows the hand-coloring time you skipped. On big sessions it adds up fast.
Does it have keyboard shortcuts?+
Yes. Pause/Resume, Abort, Undo and Redo a batch all have global hotkeys you can use without leaving Logic, and you can reassign them in Settings.
Can it run in the background?+
Yes. EasyColor lives in the menu bar, and Live mode quietly colors tracks while you work in Logic. You can also set it to launch at login so it's always ready.
Are my keywords and settings saved?+
Yes. Your keywords, presets, folder mappings, colors and theme are all remembered between sessions - you set them up once.
How many tracks can it handle?+
There's no limit - EasyColor colors the whole project in one pass, whether it's 20 tracks or a few hundred.
Troubleshooting
Why doesn't EasyColor find my tracks?+
Make sure Logic Pro is open with a project loaded and is the front-most app, and that you've granted Accessibility permission (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility). Then try again.
It stopped working after a Logic or macOS update - what now?+
Updates sometimes reset Accessibility permission. Toggle EasyColor off and on under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. If it's still stuck, email us and we'll help.
License & payment
How long is the free trial?+
7 days, with every feature unlocked. The trial runs on the monthly plan, so a card is needed to start it - nothing is charged until day 8, and cancelling before then costs you nothing. Buy a license before day 8 and we cancel the subscription for you.
Monthly or Lifetime - what's the difference?+
Monthly (€5) and Yearly (€39) unlock everything for as long as your subscription is active - the yearly one is the same thing billed once instead of twelve times. Lifetime (€79) is a one-time purchase you keep forever, including all future updates. Every plan also comes in a two-Mac version: €7/month, €49/year, or €99 once.
Can I use my license on more than one Mac?+
A one-Mac license runs on one Mac at a time - it's signed to that machine and can't be copied - but you can move it as often as you like: deactivate it on the old Mac and activate it on the new one. If you want it on two Macs at once, every plan has a two-Mac version on the pricing page.
What if it doesn't work for me?+
Try the full app free for 7 days first. If you hit any trouble, write to support@easyoneaudio.com and we'll help.
Can I reset the trial by reinstalling?+
No. The trial runs on your Stripe subscription, not on the app install, so reinstalling won't restart it.
Do I get free updates?+
Yes. Both Monthly and Lifetime include all updates - Monthly while your subscription is active, Lifetime forever.

Manage your subscription

Your licence key is all you need. It opens your own billing page, where you can cancel, switch between monthly and yearly, change the card and download every invoice.

Your key is in the welcome email.
A Lifetime licence is bought once - there is no subscription to manage.

Give us the address you bought with and we will send it there. Nothing opens here - the key goes to your inbox, so only you can use it.

Privacy Policy

EasyColor is a native macOS app made by EasyOneAudio, an independent studio. We built it to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains exactly what the app accesses, what we collect, and why.

What happens on your Mac

To color your tracks, EasyColor uses the macOS Accessibility API to read your Logic Pro track names and operate Logic's colour picker. All of this happens locally on your Mac. Your track names, regions, audio, MIDI and project files are never uploaded, stored, or sent to us or anyone else.

What we collect

  • Licensing & trial. When you start the free trial or activate a license, the app contacts our licensing service to verify it. For this we process your license key (if you have one) and a machine identifier - a one-way hashed value derived from your Mac that cannot be reversed back to your computer. This binds a license to one Mac and stops it being copied. We do not receive your name through the app.
  • Support & feedback. If you email us or use in-app feedback, we receive your message and email address so we can reply.

EasyColor contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking.

Service providers

  • Licensing is handled by Supabase, which stores license records on our behalf solely to validate licenses.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details - Stripe handles them directly under its own privacy policy.
  • Our website uses analytics and advertising services (Google Analytics 4 and Meta) to measure traffic and how our ads perform. They load by default and are switched off if you press "Decline" in the cookie banner. If you give us your email address for a trial download, we may share it with Meta in irreversibly hashed form (SHA-256) so that we can measure our ads and reach people similar to our customers - Meta receives the hash, never the address itself. Email us to opt out and we will remove you within 7 days.

Retention & your rights

We keep license records while your license is active, and support emails for as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to access or delete the data we hold about you at any time - just email us.

Changes

If we update this policy we'll change the date above and post the new version here.

Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and EasyOneAudio for using EasyColor. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

Your license

We grant you a personal license to use EasyColor:

  • Lifetime (one-time) - a perpetual license for use on one Mac, including future updates.
  • Monthly - a license valid for as long as your subscription is active.

A license is tied to one Mac and may not be shared, resold, sublicensed or reverse-engineered. You can move it to a new Mac by deactivating it on the old one.

Free trial

EasyColor comes with a 7-day free trial on the monthly plan, all features unlocked. A payment method is required to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the monthly subscription begins and your card is charged automatically. You can cancel at any point during the 7 days and pay nothing. If you buy a license while your trial is still running, we cancel the subscription for you straight away, so you are never charged the €5 on top of the license.

Payments & renewals

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period.

Refunds

Under EU consumer law you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase: if you change your mind within 14 days, email us and we'll issue a full refund. After this 14-day period, no refunds will be provided and all sales are final. Because there is also a free 7-day trial, please make sure EasyColor works for you before buying a license.

What the app does

EasyColor only changes track and region colours in Logic Pro, using the macOS Accessibility API. It does not modify your audio, MIDI, plug-ins or project files. Always keep your own backups of your work.

“As is”

We work hard to keep EasyColor compatible with current versions of macOS and Logic Pro, but the app is provided “as is”, without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, EasyOneAudio is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from its use.

Changes & termination

We may update these terms (we'll change the date above) or discontinue the app, and we may suspend a license used in breach of these terms.
